The Conference explores the use of technology to improve learning and teaching. The event aims to bring together teachers and researchers engaged in innovation in learning and teaching through the use of technology, and will showcase innovative pedagogical practices using technology.

The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) and the Hong Kong Web Symposium Consortium are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2012 Conference on ICT in Teaching and Learning. This will be the seventh annual major event in the field. As in the past, the conference will include keynote addresses, paper presentations and workshops.

Conference theme

Papers are welcome on topics relevant to the conference theme of ‘Engaging learners through emerging technologies’. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

Conference language

The Conference will be conducted in English.

Papers submitted for presentation should be in English. Papers in Chinese will also be considered, and should be submitted together with paper titles and abstracts in English. Accepted papers in Chinese will be presented in Putonghua.

Conference publication

Accepted papers will be included in the Conference proceedings. Selected papers will be published in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) by Springer. Authors of the selected papers will also be invited to submit extended versions for publication in the following journals: (1) International Journal of Innovation and Learning (IJIL); and (2) special issue on ‘Engaging learners through emerging technologies’ of the journal Interactive Technology and Smart Education (ITSE).
